Petr Parhomchik: "The work of the authorities is valued for concrete actions"
Only three people signed up for the reception with the Deputy Prime Minister with questions concerning burials at the cemetery, improvement of housing conditions, and disability determination. Petr Parkhomchik thoroughly delved into the essence of each problem, did not make empty promises, but the citizens left the reception with the hope that they were heard and would be helped.
A resident of Vitebsk appealed regarding the fact that all her relatives are buried at the Zagorskoye cemetery in the regional center. To maintain the graves in proper condition, she and her son had to put a lot of effort into compacting the area near the ravine and installing metal supports, which were subsequently stolen. A tall, hazardous tree broke and damaged the fence, which was also replaced. There was a free space next to her mother's grave for her own burial. However, due to the new law, she will now have to pay a considerable sum for extra meters, or they will be allocated for another burial, although, according to her, no one is taking care of the cemetery's upkeep. The applicant asked for her issue to be resolved positively.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed to find out which scrap metal collection organization operates near the cemetery and why it does not maintain order. And although the applicant did not address her issue to the "Spetskombinat" (Specialized Combine), he instructed the utility services to thoroughly investigate and resolve everything in accordance with the law. And on his part, he promised to find sponsors who would reimburse the applicant for part of the amount spent on cemetery improvements.
A mother of four from the Sennensky district came to the reception with her aunt, who is helping the young family with their housing problem. The family lives in a village and is on the waiting list for improved housing conditions. She cannot use maternity capital because the Sennensky District Executive Committee cannot find a suitable housing purchase option. At the same time, the applicant is not against renovating a three-room apartment that would suit the family. The Sennensky District Executive Committee has been instructed to resolve the issue within a month.
Another resident of Vitebsk went through numerous commissions and examinations, proving that the decision of the MREK (Medical-Social Expert Commission), which assigned him the third group of disability, was unfair and that he disagreed with it. Petr Parkhomchik listened carefully to the problem, but a clear decision can only be made after the final conclusion of the commission. The issue is under control.
– Receptions of citizens are an important element of our lives, – emphasized Petr Parkhomchik. – As a rule, mature people come who do not quite understand legal and legal issues. They need help, support, and consultation. And also – respectful attitude. How we treat our parents, that's how we should treat these citizens. If there is such an attitude, then the issues will be resolved.
