Five enterprises of the Vitebsk region are vying for the title of 'Champion of Taste'

The first stage of the tenth national competition-tasting "Champion of Taste" was held at the Minsk State Mechanization and Technology Vocational-Technical College. Representatives of research institutes, laboratories, educational institutions, food enterprises, and chefs, i.e., specialists who best know what the taste of a quality product manufactured in compliance with all technologies should be, selected the most worthy samples among whole milk products, cheeses, meat, and sausage products for public research through blind tasting.

By decision of the expert tasting commission, 33 enterprises reached the final of "Champion of Taste", including 5 from the Vitebsk region – Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant, Glubokoye and Lepel Condensed Milk Plants, Polotsk Dairy Plant, and Postavy Dairy Plant.

Whether the products of our manufacturers will win awards will be known today at the "Belagro-2016" exhibition, within the framework of which public tastings will be held. Anyone who wishes can take part in them and cast their vote for their favorite product. However, the main intrigue of the competition – how public opinion will form and how serious the competition will be – will only be revealed before the awards ceremony. After all, tastes will be debated on this platform.
