"Grain growers of Chashniki, Senno, Lepel, Beshenkovichi, and Shumilino districts have started the spring sowing campaign. In total, about 100 hectares have already been sown in the farms of these regions," specialists noted.

The mass sowing of spring crops in the region will begin in the middle of next week. "Within five days, all districts will join the sowing campaign," the regional agricultural department emphasized.

Simultaneously with sowing, winter crops are being top-dressed. This year, the total sown area in the Vitebsk region will be 850 thousand hectares, of which winter grains occupy 231 thousand hectares, and winter rapeseed - 55 thousand hectares.
