P.Latushko expects the intensification of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the field of cinema

July 14, Vitebsk /Tatyana Pastushenko - BELTA/. Belarusian Minister of Culture Pavel Latushko expects an intensification of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in film production. He told reporters about this after negotiations with Russian Minister of Culture Alexander Avdeev, BELTA correspondent reports.

"We talked about joint film production; in this area, Russia is a leading partner for us. Taking into account the changes in tax legislation in Belarus, new prospects are emerging for the implementation of joint film projects," said Pavel Latushko.

The ministers discussed the possibility of assistance from the Ministry of Culture of Russia in returning original films to Belarus, which belong to the golden collection of national cinema and are stored in the archives of the Russian Federation. "We have been working on this issue since 1998 and hope that with the support of the Russian side, we will be able to move it forward," noted Pavel Latushko.-0-
