"Square of the Future" and "UNOVIS Street" appeared in Vitebsk for one day

"Square of the Future" and "UNOVIS Street" appeared in Vitebsk for one day, which today continues to celebrate its 1036th birthday, a BELTA correspondent reports. The second day of festivities was opened by vintage and tuned cars. Almost six dozen unusual cars became a real gift for enthusiastic boys and girls, who filled the "Square of the Future" from the morning - this is how ancient Vitebsk decided to name its Victory Square for one day and put it at the disposal of young citizens. City authorities organized a celebration of the best representatives of the city's youth here - excellent students, winners of republican and youth subject Olympiads, laureates of creative competitions, young scientists and specialists. Educational institutions, on the eve of the admission campaign, organized their presentations and prepared concerts. And the retro car exhibition became an innovative backdrop for performances by fans of street sports, bikers and trial cyclists. Closer to the evening, the "Square of the Future" will become a huge disco dance floor. Festivities are taking place not only on the main square of Vitebsk. On Freedom Square, they are looking for the tallest citizen today. Ten contestants have already declared their participation in the "Vitebsk Giant" competition. For those who did not stand out in height, but did not lose the competitive spirit, city stadiums provided an opportunity to prove themselves in sports competitions: from football to parachuting and catamaran races. Pravda Street temporarily became "UNOVIS Street" and turned into an art salon. The Park of Culture and Recreation gathered representatives of all nationalities living in the city for a theatrical performance. The festivities will continue until late at night. And for the convenience of citizens, the bus fleet extended bus services on the night of June 26-27 until 3:00 AM.
