Igor Golovnev, senior coach of the Belarusian national athletics team for the Vitebsk region, shared his impressions of the II European Games and, in particular, of the high jump competitions with "Vitebskiye Vesti":

– The competition, which was won by Maksim Nedasekau, brought together the strongest high jumpers in Europe. Max jumped confidently, ordering high jumps right away, showing his best result this season. I was pleased that there were many fans. Among them, sports enthusiasts from different regions of the Vitebsk region came to support the athletes.

Vitaly Parakhonka from Orsha also noted the excellent support from his compatriots during the competition:

– I am satisfied with my silver medal. I am glad to contribute to the team's total score for the Belarusian national team. Yes, I was counting on the maximum result, but it didn't quite work out. The spectators in the stands, including my parents and wife, supported me greatly, you could say they pushed me forward. I am grateful to my first coach, Alexander Gutin, from the state specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 2 in Orsha, where I grew as an athlete. I also thank my current mentor in Minsk, Viktor Myasnikov, whom I have been training with for the second year. I would add that the II European Games are organized at a high level, comparable to world championships and other major international tournaments. The conditions are also excellent in

in the Olympic village.
