Following inspections of enterprises in the Vitebsk region by tax authorities in 2012, Br26.7 billion was received into the budget.

According to the results of inspections of enterprises and organizations in the Vitebsk region, Br26.7 billion was received by the budget in 2012, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent.

Last year, tax inspectorates in the region inspected over 7.7 thousand operating business entities, which is 1.6% of the total number registered with the tax inspectorates in the region.

As a result of control measures, taxes, penalties, and administrative fines totaling Br27.7 billion were additionally accrued. Based on the results of the inspections, an additional Br26.7 billion was received by the budget of the Vitebsk region. In addition, inspections of the validity of value-added tax refunds prevented Br14.4 billion in illegal tax refunds from the budget.
