– The results of participation in international olympiads and competitions, and the final stage of the republican olympiad have become a kind of marker of the quality of education. And, closing out 2023, we are summing up the results with particular satisfaction within the framework of the "Our Children" campaign, – emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev. – Today is a wonderful opportunity to once again express words of appreciation and gratitude to our educators and students for the remarkable results they achieve year after year. It is very pleasing that for the last three years we have been leaders in the republic in terms of olympiad victories. And this year was no exception – 111 diplomas, we are the undisputed leaders among the regions. It is gratifying to note that not only in the regional center and large cities, but also in rural areas, our educators are nurturing bright minds.

The hall was attended by winners of the Union State olympiad for schoolchildren in the Russian language and Russian literature "Russia and Belarus: Historical and Spiritual Community," the final stages of the republican olympiad and the republican competition of research papers (conferences) of students in academic subjects, the 64th International Mathematical Olympiad, the XIX International Geography Olympiad, and the XIX International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Informatics, and Physics.

This year, in my subject alone, the students brought four diplomas from the republican Olympiad, and Ivan Korshunov won a bronze medal at the international Olympiad in Japan. Three students became winners at the international Zhautykov Olympiad (two bronze and one gold medal), – noted Alexander Shugol.
