Almost 10.5 thousand young people from the Vitebsk region worked in student teams in 2015
"In our region, 10,466 people worked as part of 547 student teams (construction, agricultural, pedagogical, environmental, service). 313 people were employed individually. 163 people worked outside the country, namely in the Krasnodar Territory and the Moscow Region of Russia. Our guys were involved in construction, reconstruction, landscaping, even engaged in the telephone communication of the subscriber network, assisted in harvesting, cared for forest crops, and worked as counselors and educators," noted Viktor Glushin.
According to him, the Vitebsk region was the first in the country to create specialized student teams - medical teams began working in 2015. Students from relevant colleges tried their hand as junior medical staff in the departments of the Polotsk Central City Hospital, Orsha Central Hospital, Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital, the Regional Cardiology Dispensary, and the Children's Clinical Center.
As Viktor Glushin noted, the region's student team members have proven themselves at the All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project at the Belarusian NPP. Russian employers year after year note that our guys are distinguished by their diligence, responsibility, and initiative.
The results of the temporary employment of the region's youth "Labor Semester-2015" will be summed up today at the Vitebsk State Technological University. Representatives of the region's executive authorities, the Central Committee of the BRSM, heads of enterprises, institutions, organizations, youth, veterans of the student detachment movement, and creative teams will take part in the ceremony. The best of the best in the current labor semester will be named in 14 nominations. An exhibition of photographs capturing the work of student detachments and the region's achievements in youth employment will be held in the foyer of the VSTU assembly hall. A flash mob "In Focus with Positivity," an action "Detachment Geography," and the distribution of the symbol of the Year of Youth - apples - will take place.
