Almost 3,000 young Vitebsk residents will take part in charity New Year's events

City authorities will hold charity New Year's events for almost 3,000 children, residents of Vitebsk, the BELTA correspondent was informed by the department of ideological work of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee. Orphans, children from foster and large families, children from orphanages, and children with disabilities will participate in charity city-wide and district events. Each child will receive a gift. Over Br42.8 million has been allocated from the city budget for these purposes. In addition to children, the city orphanage, the city socio-pedagogical center, and the specialized children's home will receive New Year's gifts. From December 21, a series of children's New Year's performances will begin in all general education, extracurricular, and special institutions of the regional center. It is expected that over 30,000 children and teenagers will take part in them. More than 14,000 preschoolers will participate in matinees in kindergartens. New Year's plays and entertainment programs have been prepared by many educational and cultural institutions. Almost 1,500 children will be invited to festive events by the regional association for extracurricular work with children. The city culture center has prepared show programs with the participation of fairy-tale characters, which 5.4 thousand boys and girls will be able to see. The Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater and the Lyalka Puppet Theater have also prepared New Year's plays for 600 young spectators. During the winter holidays, 900 children from low-income, large families, children in socially dangerous situations, and orphans will be recuperated in school day camps. -0-
