Almost 30,000 people applied to employment assistance commissions in the Vitebsk region
Over 800 commission meetings were held in 9 months of this year, including 87 field trips. "Almost 30,000 people applied to the commissions. Citizens came with questions about providing documents confirming employment (64.3%), obtaining consultations (28.1%), and employment (almost 4%)," noted Vladimir Terentyev.
The commissions made decisions on full or partial exemption from utility payments for 379 residents due to difficult life circumstances.
The Chairman of the regional Council of Deputies focused on the work of the region's economy. The volume of direct foreign investment on a net basis amounted to $32.7 million. "For seven months of the current year, net profit amounted to Br487 million, which is 2.2 times more compared to the same period last year. 18 regions worked with net profit, and 16 regions had positive sales profitability," said Vladimir Terentyev.
According to him, the budget subsidization level of the region has decreased by 7% over the last five years and is 26% in 2019. In January-September, the consolidated budget of the northern region received Br1 billion 620 million in revenues of all types.
"Currently, the development of the region's budget for 2020 is underway. In conditions of budget financial resource deficit, the fulfillment of the region's socio-economic development parameters, compliance with tax discipline by taxpayers, and spending of state resources taking into account economically justified need for funds will be of particular importance. The social vector of budget expenditures remains an unconditional priority," added the head of the region's parliamentary corps.
