At the same time, the chairman of the city executive committee noted that the labor market situation is not without tension. The registered unemployment rate is 1.1%. "We have about 1.9 thousand unemployed registered. Half of them are citizens who do not want to be employed. They registered only because Decree No. 3 "On the Prevention of Social Dependency" was adopted. Coming to the employment center, they show that they are looking for work. In practice, no matter how hard we tried to employ them, they do not go to work. Another 20-30% of the unemployed have only a school education. It is practically impossible for them to find a job. Employers are now very serious about selecting employees. First of all, professional specialists are needed, not unskilled laborers," the mayor stated. According to the city head, about 28,000 Vitebsk residents received notifications from tax inspectorates about financing state expenses. "Many of them have good earnings, but they do not officially show it," he noted.
