Almost Br1 billion has been additionally charged to the budget after an inspection of a logging enterprise in Vitebsk

Almost Br1 billion has been additionally charged to the budget based on the results of an inspection of a non-state logging enterprise in Vitebsk, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent.

The inspection of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus for the Zheleznodorozhny district of Vitebsk, during a planned inspection of a limited liability company providing services related to forestry and logging, established relationships with five taxpayers from Minsk and the Minsk region that exhibited signs of fictitious enterprises.

According to the documents submitted for the inspection, over four years, the company received tangible assets from the specified enterprises totaling Br2.5 billion. Based on the results of control measures carried out jointly with the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee for the Vitebsk region, it was established that by this method, the company evaded taxes by legalizing surplus tangible assets generated from its main activities. The primary documents for the acquisition of tangible assets from fictitious structures were declared legally invalid by the inspection. Following the inspection, Br950 million in taxes were additionally charged and remitted to the budget.

The inspection materials have been sent to the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee for the Vitebsk region for legal assessment.
