Almost Br1.6 billion was received by the Vitebsk region budget from enterprises and individual entrepreneurs established in 2009

Business entities established in January-May 2009 in the Vitebsk region have replenished the consolidated budget of the region with revenues amounting to almost Br1.6 billion, the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. A total of over 2.5 thousand business entities were registered during this period of the year, including more than 800 legal entities. Receipts from enterprises and organizations amounted to almost Br1.2 billion, and from individual entrepreneurs - Br417.3 million. Among the established business entities, over 350 enterprises and more than 570 individual entrepreneurs operate in small and medium-sized urban settlements of the region. Payments from this category of taxpayers amounted to almost Br950 million, including about Br140 million received from entrepreneurs. Taxes paid by this category of taxpayers are directed to the budgets of districts and contribute to strengthening the economic situation in the regions of the area, the inspectorate noted. In total, for 5 months of 2009, over Br1.5 trillion was received into the consolidated budget of the Vitebsk region, or 101.6% of the plan. Br24.1 billion was attracted to the budget above the planned assignments. The revenue plan has been fulfilled for budgets of all levels. Br839.2 billion was received into the republican budget, or 102.8% of the plan, and Br715.7 billion into the local budget, or 100.2%. The main revenue sources of the regional budget are excise taxes - their share in the total amount of receipts was 22.8%, as well as VAT (18.8%), personal income tax (11.2%), and profit tax (8.2%). As of June 1, 2009, the debt of business entities of the Vitebsk region for budget payments amounted to Br30.1 billion and decreased by Br2.5 billion compared to the beginning of the year. Through enforcement measures for debt collection, the tax authorities of the region eliminated budget arrears in the amount of Br52.5 billion. As a result of control work on compliance with tax and other legislation, carried out by the tax inspectorates of the region for 5 months, an additional Br29.6 billion was received into the budget, or 1.9% of the total amount of revenues. A total of almost 451 thousand taxpayers participate in the formation of the revenue side of the consolidated budget of the region, including over 15 thousand legal entities, almost 30 thousand individual entrepreneurs, as well as about 406 thousand individuals. -0-
