Almost Br500 million has been allocated from the regional budget for the purchase of playground equipment for Vitebsk courtyards

August 24, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Almost Br500 million has been allocated from the regional budget this year for the purchase of children's play complexes for Vitebsk courtyards, the unitary communal production enterprise "Vitebsk City Housing and Communal Services" informed a BELTA correspondent.

The issue of equipping children's playgrounds has been repeatedly raised by residents of apartment buildings with officials of various levels: often, there is only one or two pieces of play equipment in the courtyards. In this regard, when developing the city program "Courtyards," a decision was made to specifically allocate funds for the purchase of safe and modern complexes for children. In 2010, 25 play complexes were installed in courtyard areas, and the same number were purchased this year. All of them have already been installed in densely populated areas.

As noted in Vitebsk Housing and Communal Services, housing management offices are also engaged in repairing and manufacturing courtyard, children's, and sports equipment on their own. This year alone, 135 units of equipment intended directly for young residents, such as swings and horizontal bars, have been manufactured and installed. This year, 14 courtyard areas are subject to comprehensive improvement in accordance with the city program "Courtyards." Br5.2 billion has been allocated for these purposes. Asphalt concrete pavement is planned to be repaired in 174 courtyards, of which work has already been completed in 47. -0-
