Almost fifty schoolchildren from the Vitebsk region will star in the TV show “I Know”
The selection round for participation in the TV project, in which 147 children from almost all districts of the Vitebsk region tried their hand, was held at the Regional Institute for the Development of Education.
The selection of participants for the show began at the end of last academic year. Contestants first had to demonstrate their knowledge and talents at school and in the district, and the most erudite competed in the regional stage. The preparation of the children is carried out by "favorite teachers" (as the organizers call them), who will also be invited to the filming.
The Regional Institute for the Development of Education reported that the TV project is aimed not at one specific field of knowledge, but at the comprehensive development of the child, including their creative abilities. The competition questions include material from the school curriculum for the corresponding grade.
In the regional selection, the children had to overcome 4 rounds: answer "yes" or "no", choose from several answer options, solve tests, and all this as quickly as possible or within a certain short time. The questions, by the way, were quite tricky.
For example, it was necessary to choose which of the political figures – Stalin, Churchill, or Obama – became a Nobel Prize laureate in literature (the correct answer is Churchill). Or quickly calculate how many boxes there are in total if there are three smaller boxes inside a large box, and each of them contains three more boxes (13).
In total, for the new television season 2017-2018, Belteleradiocompany has planned 33 episodes in several stages for different age categories. The final games of the project will determine seven winners from each declared grade level. Diplomas and valuable gifts will be awarded not only to the participants themselves but also to the entire class of the school from which the participant comes. The TV project will be broadcast on the "Belarus 1" channel.
