Roof collapses of two residential buildings due to heavy snow load occurred in Gorodok and Liozno districts of Vitebsk region, press secretary of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Marina Fando told a BELTA correspondent. No one was injured as a result of the incidents. In Gorodok, the roof of a one-story three-apartment residential building, built in 1968, with a total area of 160 sq.m, could not withstand the load. At the time of the incident, two families lived in the house, who were relocated to relatives. The owner of another apartment, an employee of a local agricultural enterprise, lives at another address, and he has already received new service housing. When the roof collapsed in a private residential building in the village of Yazkovshchina, Liozno district, where a family of pensioners lives, the integrity of the supporting structures was also compromised. The total area of the collapse was 80 sq.m, and the wall of the house moved by 10 cm. The house, built in 1995, belongs to the agricultural production cooperative "Rubezhitsa", which was engaged in restoration work. The residents did not need to be resettled. -0-
