Support for large families in repaying preferential housing loan arrears will continue

June 21, Minsk /Elena Prus - BELTA/. Support for large families in repaying arrears on preferential housing loans will be continued. This is provided for by the National Program of Demographic Security of the Republic of Belarus for 2011-2015, the draft of which was generally approved today at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers, reported the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marianna Shchetkina, BELTA correspondent reports.

The Minister noted that it is envisaged to repay 75% of the arrears on preferential housing loans for families with three children, and 100% for families with 4-5 or more children.

The previous demographic security program included compensation for non-preferential housing loans for young families. "This issue is also under discussion," the minister informed. - This position remains in the draft of the new program. An increase in state support for this category of Belarusian families is even possible."

Marianna Shchetkina emphasized that all measures of the National Program of Demographic Security of the Republic of Belarus for 2011-2015 are aimed at creating the most favorable conditions for people to live and work. -0-
