Preparations for "Dozhinki-2018" continue in Verkhnedvinsk
Thus, a pleasant gift for Verkhnedvinsk residents this summer was the opening of a new hockey rink, for the arrangement of which 100 thousand rubles were allocated from the regional budget.
Now young Verkhnedvinsk hockey players will train in decent conditions, and the chances of achieving the same result as their predecessors, who once won the main prize of the republican competition "Golden Puck", will increase.
Verkhnedvinsk residents themselves also took part in the arrangement of the rink. As a result, a wonderful new facility has appeared, which will undoubtedly become the city's calling card. The modern outdoor concrete rink is made without braces with straight posts. Reliable plastic is used for its boards, gates, technological gates, and benches for reserve players are installed.
A number of other sports facilities are also being prepared for "Dazhynki-2018" – the city stadium, a comprehensive sports ground with artificial turf, where it will be possible to play football, volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
But perhaps the most anticipated and significant gift will be the sports and recreation complex "Impulse". Work on this facility was in full swing, and the building literally transformed before the eyes of the townspeople every day. According to Sergey Valkovich, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee, the main construction and installation work has already been completed, and finishing work has been done. Furniture is now being arranged, and exercise equipment is being installed.
The Sports and Recreation Complex also features a swimming pool, which is a complex engineering structure in terms of equipment saturation. The concreting of its basin was completed in December 2017, adhering to all necessary technologies for winter construction. The structure was installed by employees of the firm SP SU-232 of JSC "Zhilstroy" from the city of Vitebsk. The final stage involves the installation of technological water treatment equipment. The basin will soon be ready to be filled with water.
The territory adjacent to "Impuls" has been asphalted, providing parking space for visitors.
There is also good news for skateboard enthusiasts: the district center is considering the purchase and installation of a skate park.
