Preparations for the regional "Dazhynki-2018" festival in Verkhnedvinsk are nearing completion. What has changed in the district center?
Verkhnedvinsk is preparing to host the guests of the large-scale agricultural forum with full responsibility. Order is being established not only in the territories – the social infrastructure has been significantly updated.
— We are working at a high pace, with over 15 million rubles invested in the reconstruction and construction of facilities. People are happy with the changes, the city is transforming before our eyes, — noted Sergey Valkovich, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee.
In total, the "Dazhynki" preparation program includes over 200 facilities.
Most of them have been commissioned, and work on the remaining ones is in its final stages. Secondary School No. 2 and the territorial center for social services for the population have been presented in a new look, the central Jubilee Square has been reconstructed, the city park and a section of the Dvina embankment have been landscaped, a modern sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool, sauna, gym equipment, and a fitness room has been built, and the capital repair of the district Center of Culture and Folk Art is nearing completion.
The housing stock has significantly changed. The construction of a 12-apartment building for families in need of housing improvement is nearing completion. Current repairs have been carried out in 22 houses, and capital repairs in seven, and these works will continue until the end of the year.
The quality of the street and road network has noticeably improved both in the city itself and on the approaches to it. Kilometers of asphalt have been laid, territories have been landscaped, lawns and flower beds have been created, and small architectural forms have been installed, emphasizing the features of the region.
Original floral compositions created by participants of the regional professional competition in landscape design, held in Verkhnedvinsk, have added even more attractiveness to the capital of "Dazhynki".
It is important that work collectives of enterprises and organizations of the district, small businesses, and individual entrepreneurs have actively joined the common cause. Owners of private households continue to tidy up their yards.
During the Year of Small Motherland, the residents of Verkhnedvinsk region have truly united, striving to make every effort to make the city and rural settlements even more comfortable for living. After all, even after the holiday, the updated infrastructure will continue to serve people.
