Preparations for the heating season in the Vitebsk region have almost reached the equator

In the Vitebsk region, preparations for the 2016-2017 heating season have almost reached the halfway point,

reported Anatoly Sudak, head of the production and technical department of the housing and communal services department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The set of measures for the start of the autumn-winter period includes the preparation of housing stock, water supply and sewerage, and heating facilities.

"These works are being carried out as usual: we are repairing and replacing equipment, stocking fuel, and relaying heating networks. We have reached almost half of the target for all items. For example, a total of 70 km of heating networks are to be replaced. Of these, 30 km have already been laid, and fortunately, the purchase of new pipes is possible with deferred payment, so we will manage to do everything on time. And the issue of additional budget funding is being resolved, since so far only Br4.7 million has been allocated for the replacement of heating networks throughout the region, while more than Br10 million is needed," said Anatoly Sudak.

Modernization of heating networks is being carried out selectively in all districts, except for the urban-type settlement of Kokhanovo in the Tolochin district and the city of Novolukoml in the Chashniksky district. There, specialists have already completely reconstructed the communications. By the way, since this year, the transfer of heating networks from communal to republican ownership has begun - RUP "Vitebskenergo". It is planned to transfer 126 km of networks and 12 central heating points per year, and currently, the target has been met halfway. Fuel stocking has passed the halfway point - 228 thousand dense cubic meters out of the planned 400 thousand are already available. The conversion of boiler houses from natural gas to local types of fuel continues. By the end of the year, two boilers with a capacity of 3 MW each will be installed in the "5th Regiment" district in Vitebsk, an additional boiler with mechanical loading in the urban-type settlement of Podsvilye in the Gluboksky district, and another one in the village of Vysoke in the Orshansky district. "In Orsha itself, we recently received the gas boiler house of the reinforced concrete products plant, and we will begin its conversion to local types of fuel this year, and complete it next year. Br2.5 million from the local budget and Br0.7 million from the republican budget have been allocated for all these works," added Anatoly Sudak.
