Nature Ministry units need to work more actively with public inspectors - V. Tsalko
January 27, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. City and district inspectorates of natural resources and environmental protection need to work more actively with public inspectors. This opinion was expressed today by the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus Vladimir Tsalko during the final meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, BELTA correspondent reports.
According to Vladimir Tsalko, the contribution of these people to the environmental education of youth and environmental protection can be more significant. To achieve this, they need to be involved more often in various events, encouraged and supported in their work. "Schoolchildren, public inspectors and youth organizations are our asset, which must be maximally involved in educational work," the minister emphasized.
2010 has been declared by the UN as the International Year of Biodiversity. The plan of measures for Belarus's participation in its celebration has already been approved. However, for greater effectiveness, public organizations should also be involved in them, Vladimir Tsalko added. -0-
