The results of the regional competition of fashion designers, clothing designers "Fashion Silhouette" have been summarized.

On November 14, 2012, the regional competition of fashion designers and clothing designers “Fashion Silhouette” was held in Vitebsk at the educational institution "State Palace of Creativity of Children and Youth of the Railway District of Vitebsk" at the address: Vitebsk, Kosmonavtov St., 2.

The organizers of the competition were the state institution "Department of Household Services for the Population of the Vitebsk Region" and the regional committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Workers of Local Industry and Public Utilities.

The competition was attended by fashion designers and clothing designers working in the organizations of household services for the population of the Vitebsk region, as well as pupils and students of educational institutions that train specialists for the sewing industries of the service sector.

The competition was held in three nominations:
- "Pret-a-porter" - items presented in the "Pret-a-porter" nomination are intended for everyday wear and should be distinguished by realism, compliance with fashion trends, and life ethics. 11 collections were presented in this nomination;
- "Fashion design" - items presented in the "Fashion design" nomination are intended for catwalk shows and should be distinguished by expression, theatricality, and author's idea. 6 collections were presented in this nomination;
- "Belarusian Costume and Modernity" - 5 collections were presented.

When summing up the results of the competition, the jury focused on the following criteria:
- aesthetic indicators (integrity of the image, expressiveness of color embodiment, originality of artistic concept, novelty and relevance of the solution, compliance with modern fashion trends);
- technological indicators (compliance with modern technological requirements, originality of design solutions, professional skill and quality of execution).
In each nomination, winners were determined for the top three places, the Grand Prix winner was determined, as well as the audience's favorite winner.

Following the results, the jury determined the best works:
- in the nomination “Pret-a-porter”:
1st place - Vita Yakusheva OJSC “Charovnitsa” - collection “Flax Mood”;
2nd place - Svetlana Boboshko OJSC “Polotskbyt” - collection “Autumn Mood”;
3rd place - Elena Talay KUPBON of Orsha City Executive Committee “Autumn Alliance”.

- in the nomination “Fashion Design”:
1st place - Lyudmila Tikhonova Educational Institution “Vitebsk State Vocational-Technical College” - collection “Autumn”;
2nd place - Tatyana Syrovatnikova, Verkhnedvinsk city - collection “Looking for a Chamomile”;
3rd place - Irina Pateenok Educational Institution “Vitebsk State Industrial-Construction College” - collection “White on Blue”.

- in the nomination “Belarusian Costume and Modernity”:
1st place - Maria Bolobovka Bogushevskoye KUPBO “Prestige” - collection “We are Belarus”;
2nd place - KUPBON of Orsha District Executive Committee - collection “My Country - Belarus”;
3rd place - Svetlana Kudryavtseva Liozno UKPBO “Dobrobyt” - collection “Little Belarusians”.

Grand Prix was awarded to Victoria Krupskaya OJSC “Vitebsk Rassvet” - collection “Ellipsis”.

Audience Choice Award – Alexey Svirido Educational Institution “Vitebsk State Industrial-Construction College” - collection “Paranoia”.

Special Prize of the Women's Union – Svetlana Stadolnik Educational Institution “Vitebsk State Industrial-Construction College” - collection “Beauty from the Past”.

All winners (collection authors) were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.
Currently, the State Institution “UBON of Vitebsk Region” is forming a national team to participate in the republican competition, which will be held in the city of Minsk on December 14, 2012.
