The results of the regional competition "Occupational Safety Through the Eyes of Children" have been summarized
Students of preschool and general secondary education institutions of the Vitebsk region took part in the competition. Over 250 creative works were presented to the jury.
Preschool institutions (age category up to 6 years) showed the most active participation. Adult problems in labor protection issues are expressed by children through cartoon and fairy tale characters. The jury noted the creative approach, originality of ideas and execution techniques in the drawings of preschoolers.
The first place was taken by a group of authors from kindergarten No. 1 in Polotsk ‒ Dubrovsky Timur, Pozdnyakova Nastya, Tripuzova Olya, Romanovskaya Nastya, Vorobyev Nikita, the second by a pupil of kindergarten No. 70 "Svetlyachok" in Vitebsk, Apyed Dasha, and in third place was a drawing by Skabatskaya Tatyana from kindergarten No. 7 in Chashniki.
In the works of students in the middle age category 6-10 years, the completeness of the contest theme disclosure was noted, and knowledge in the field of labor protection and the creation of safe working conditions for representatives of various professions were assessed. The first place was won by Krechun Daria (Secondary School No. 3 in Vitebsk). The second place went to Savlevich Marina (Secondary School No. 44 in Vitebsk), and the third place was taken by Tratsyevsky Timofey (Gymnasium No. 3 in Vitebsk named after A.S. Pushkin) and Puisha Ulyana (Konstalinskaya DSSSh of Braslav district).
The older age group 11-16 years presented a large number of poster drawings with slogans and calls to comply with labor safety rules. In this category, the first place was taken by Masyukova Anna (Bashnevskaya Secondary School of Shumilino district) with the work "Use power tools as intended". The second place was awarded to the author of the work "The future of children is the safe labor of parents", Karnakov Egor (Secondary School No. 12 in Vitebsk). The third place went to Polyakovich Mikhail (Secondary School No. 1 in Lepel), who presented the drawing "Respect labor – observe labor protection".
In addition, the jury members noted three works in the "Originality" nomination.

The Education Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, jointly with the Vitebsk Regional Office of the Department of State Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, plans to distribute children's works "Labor Protection Through the Eyes of Children" to enterprises, organizations, and institutions of the region across industries. The purpose is to have an informational and emotional impact on employees as visual material promoting labor protection.
Incidentally, a similar competition is held annually with the aim of fostering intolerance among children and adolescents towards violations of labor protection requirements. Such a creative competition helps to draw the attention of children and adolescents to labor safety issues and broaden their horizons, creating additional conditions for fostering a culture of life safety aimed at forming safe behavior among students and pupils in everyday life.
