The "Train of Memory" arrived in Vitebsk

The "Memory Train" project was initiated by the heads of the upper chambers of the parliaments of Belarus and Russia – Natalia Kochanova and Valentina Matvienko. It involves 100 tenth-graders from each country. The two-week journey for the participants began on June 22 in Brest; yesterday, the train left Grodno. By the final stop on July 3 in Minsk, the "Memory Train" will have traveled through seven cities in each country. The project's goal is to educate about the war, foster patriotic upbringing, and unite the youth of Belarus and Russia.

They were met very warmly in Vitebsk, with people waving from the platform into the train windows, imparting a warmth that was far from northern. Today, the youth will be talking about the youth here. Future university applicants will be presented with universities in the north of Belarus as part of the "Vitebsk – Youth Capital of the Republic of Belarus 2022" initiative. Three higher education institutions will showcase their undeniable and numerous advantages. And, of course, an extensive excursion program is planned. Spoiler alert: it wouldn't be complete without Chagall!
