Polotsk hosts the rally raid "Baha Belarus–2015"
«Baha Belarus–2015» will be held from May 29 to 31, 2015, as the third stage of the Russian Rally-Raid Championship and the first stage of the Belarusian Championship. The competitions will be held under the auspices of the Russian and Belarusian Automobile Federations, as well as NP ROSRR.
It should be especially noted that the leitmotif of the Belarusian stage of the competition will be the promotion of natural gas (methane) as the most environmentally safe type of motor fuel.
The race will start from the oldest city in Belarus — Polotsk, which will celebrate its 1153rd anniversary during these days. The theme of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War will also not go unnoticed.
The venue for the grand opening of the race, as well as the finish podium and award ceremony, will be the main Square of Polotsk on the banks of the Western Dvina River. For fans of rally raids who wish to watch the race, several spectator zones will be organized, information about which will appear on the official website of the competition – gonki.pro, where you can also follow the exciting competition of participants online during the competitions.
The sporting part of the race will take place at the Dretun training ground, where participants will have to complete an interesting route with a total length of about
500 kilometers. The routes of the first and second sporting days will differ and include all the variety of surfaces - coastal sandstones, river floodplains, ravines, impassable forest roads, which will allow pilots and navigators to show all their skills and spectacular competition.
The organizers expect a strong lineup of crews in off-road vehicles and trucks at the start, many of whom have been multiple participants of the "Dakar". Among the teams planning to participate in the race are the crews of PEC, G-Energy Team, RE Autoclub, Georaid, ATT Racing, and in the T4 truck category, the crews of MAZ and GAZ will compete, who will face a real sporting challenge from one of the strongest teams in the world – the legendary KAMAZ rally team running on natural gas.
Fans will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of rally raids, see sports cars, and enjoy their spectacular performance on the track.
