Polotsk-Steklovolokno has expanded its range of household goods

January 5, Minsk / Anna Kot - BELTA /. Polotsk-Steklovolokno OJSC has mastered the production of new household goods, the enterprise informed BELTA correspondent. The product range of the Polotsk joint-stock company has been replenished with a floor brush and a fan broom with increased sweeping ability. A distinctive feature of the new products is the use of a fiberglass handle in their construction. This ensures resistance to environmental influences (no rotting, soaking, abrasion, etc.), as well as strength, lightness, and an aesthetic appearance of the product. The new products have successfully passed operational tests. The enterprise plans to sell the new products primarily in Belarus. First, the retail sales network will be supplied, and then the new products will be offered to utility and industrial enterprises. Polotsk-Steklovolokno OJSC reported that ski poles are currently in high demand among buyers. The Polotsk enterprise is ready to fully supply the Belarusian market with this type of product, and ski poles are also exported to Ukraine and Russia. In addition, the enterprise has already begun preparations for the spring-summer season, announcing a contract campaign for goods for outdoor recreation, fiberglass products for landscaping, as well as household and construction goods. Production of these products is planned to begin in February. The Polotsk Glass Fiber plant was founded in 1957. In 2003, the production association was transformed into an OJSC. Polotsk-Steklovolokno is part of the Belneftekhim concern and is an integrated enterprise that combines technological processes of raw material processing, glass melting, glass fiber production and its textile processing, finishing of glass fabrics, and production of fiberglass. It specializes in the production of glass fiber and products made from it - electrical insulating and structural glass fabrics, construction and thermal insulation materials, silica products, and its structural unit "Steklokompozit" specializes in the production of fishing rods, kayaks, boats, and other fiberglass products. -0-
