Polotsk-Steklovolokno became a laureate of the CIS Prize for Quality

January 11, Minsk / Lilia Krapivina - BELTA /. Polotsk-Steklovolokno Open Joint Stock Company became a laureate of the CIS award competition for product and service quality. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press service of the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus. In addition, Gomselmash Production Association and Babushkina Krynka Open Joint Stock Company became diploma winners of this competition. Winning this competition is a worthy assessment of the quality of products of Belarusian enterprises at the international level, the State Committee for Standardization noted. The CIS award for achievements in quality is presented for the second time. The competition for the Commonwealth award has been held in the CIS member states since 2006. It was approved by the decision of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS dated November 25, 2005, and is announced once every two years. Among the contenders for the award from Belarus this time were four enterprises whose products are well-known in the markets of near and far abroad countries, are distinguished by high quality, meet international and European standards and consumer demands. In the previous competition, which took place in 2006-2007, five Belarusian organizations were recognized as its laureates and diploma winners: Belarusian Steel Works RUE, Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC, Savushkin Product OJSC, Milavitsa CJSC and Brestgazapparat SP OJSC. -0-
