Polotsk border guards have begun the study and selection of conscripts for compulsory military service
According to Lieutenant Colonel Denis Glebko, the official representative of the Polotsk Border Detachment, the age of most recruits is 18-20 years. About 80% of conscripts have vocational-technical, secondary specialized or secondary education. Every fifth is a university graduate.
In May, at the training center of the Polotsk Border Detachment, recruits will undergo a 10-day basic military training course. After taking the military oath, they will begin to master the specialty of "Border Guard Inspector". As a result, they will acquire the necessary skills, including weapon handling, conducting military reconnaissance and hand-to-hand combat, and will learn to work with technical means of border protection. After a month of training, the young border guards will undergo an internship. Then the recruits will be assigned to border units for further service.
