Polotsk border guards detained an illegal migrant from Morocco

On November 1, at the Grigorovshchina border crossing point, during the inspection of a Volvo truck traveling from Belarus to Latvia, Polotsk border guards, together with a customs officer, discovered an unknown person under the trailer between the main beams. During further investigation, it was established that the detainee was a citizen of Morocco who was attempting to illegally cross the state border. The Moroccan intended to reach Norway and find better living conditions there. The detainee had no documents with him, but he had a tablet and a mobile phone. The truck driver was unaware of the presence of the unknown person in his vehicle.

Currently, the offender has been detained, and an investigation is underway. During the investigation, it is necessary to establish the identity of the detainee and the circumstances of this offense. He faces expulsion and a fine of up to 50 base amounts.
