Polotsk border guards took part in sports competitions

On June 7, the command of the Polotsk Border Detachment organized and held a sports and recreation event "Summer Marathon" on the picturesque shore of Lake Suya in honor of the recently celebrated Border Guard Day.

Soldier border guards from the border detachment's administration and the "Bigosovo-2" border control unit, as well as their family members, took part in the sports competitions. Veterans of the border detachment, representatives of cooperating organizations and enterprises were invited.

The border guards competed in the following contests: "Accurate Shot" (rifle shooting), "Accurate Throw" (basketball throws into the hoop), "Volleyball", "Table Tennis", "Draughts", "Backgammon", "Darts". However, undoubtedly, the most spectacular and memorable contest for all participants and guests was "Tug of War".

All participants demonstrated high results in sports training. The representatives of the logistics support department won the bronze medal based on the competition results. The representatives of the "Bigosovo-2" border control unit took second place. The first place and the cup went to the team of the border detachment commander, headed by Colonel K.G. Molostov.

During the sports competitions, a trampoline and electric car rides were available for children. All attendees had the opportunity to enjoy water skiing with great pleasure.

The event concluded with a tasting of soldier's porridge, fish soup, and shashlik. A sweet table was prepared for the children.

The cheerful spirit of all participants was supported throughout the competitions by the military band of the Polotsk Border Detachment.
