The Polotsk Saint Sophia Cathedral once again invites you to a night meeting with classical music

May 27, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Polotsk Saint Sophia Cathedral invites you again to an open-air classical music event. The concert "Masterpieces of World Art at the Walls of Ancient Sophia" will be held in Polotsk on May 29, the Saint Sophia Cathedral, a branch of the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, told a BELTA correspondent. The concert, which will begin at 10 PM, will feature soloists and the orchestra of the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus. The first part will feature popular opera arias, and the second part will offer a performance of orchestral popular and jazz classics. The stage will be set up right at the walls of the ancient temple on the high bank of the Western Dvina River. The improvised open-air auditorium is ready to accommodate over a thousand listeners. According to museum staff, judging by the sold-out tickets, the concert is expected to be a sell-out again this time. The concert at the walls of Sophia will be a kind of prologue to the culmination of the celebrations on the occasion of the 1147th anniversary of Polotsk, which will be celebrated on May 30. -0-
