Polotsk bakery will allocate Br1.2 billion for the construction of a new boiler house
June 9, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Polotsk bakery has begun implementing a project to gasify the enterprise, the director of the bakery, Sergey Leychenko, told a BELTA correspondent.
In accordance with the project, construction work has already begun on the reconstruction of premises for a new boiler house, and two automated boilers of Italian production operating on gas have been ordered. Their delivery to the enterprise is expected in July. During August-September, it is planned to install the boilers and carry out commissioning work in order to put this facility into full operation by the beginning of the heating season.
The gasification of the enterprise will allow the bakery to save from Br80 million to Br100 million on energy resources annually, as well as to implement a number of new projects for further modernization of production aimed at expanding the product range.
The project, which is important for the plant, is also significant for the city, the head noted, explaining that as part of its implementation, the enterprise will have to lay 1.2 km of gas pipeline from the main line to the plant. It will run along Gagarin Street and will subsequently allow about 300 houses located here to be connected to gas.
The payback period of the project is four years.
In January-May, the enterprise produced products worth Br5.5 billion, or 119.5% of the same level in 2009. The profitability of sales for four months was 7.8%. The energy saving indicator is minus 12.5%. The volume of invested capital in fixed assets for January-May amounted to about Br300 million. In total, about Br2 billion is planned to be allocated for these purposes this year.
The enterprise was founded in 1933. It is a branch of RUPP "Vitebskhlebprom". It specializes in the production of bakery products, rusks and bagels, confectionery, as well as sauces and mustard. The range includes about 70 items. It is updated annually by an average of 30%. Products are sold in Belarus, a small share is supplied to Russia. The number of employees is over 240 people. -0-
