Polotsk bakery has started producing new types of breadsticks using Italian technology

The Polotsk bakery recently launched an Italian automated line for the production of crispbreads. It has enabled the enterprise to start producing new products, as reported by the chief engineer of the plant, Yuri Guboglo.

The new equipment has allowed for increased production volumes: the line's capacity is 120 kg per hour. "Technologists are developing new recipes: four out of seven crispbread varieties are already in production. In addition to new flavors, crispbreads for pregnant and nursing women will also be available," noted the chief engineer. The Polotsk plant's crispbreads are sold in Belarus, Russia, and Latvia. A trial batch has been sent to China.

According to Yuri Guboglo, about Br400 thousand were invested in modernization this year. The Polotsk bakery will soon launch a line for the production of wafer rolls with filling. In November, a new baking oven will start operating at the plant's Miory production facility.

The Polotsk bakery was built in 1933. Today, the enterprise includes two production facilities in neighboring districts - Miory and Verkhnedvinsk. The enterprise employs about 450 people. The bakery's capacity is 15 tons of bakery products per day.
