Polotsk bakery in 2010 invests Br700 million in the enterprise's development.

December 18, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Polotsk bakery will invest Br700 million in the enterprise's development in 2010, the plant's director Sergey Leychenko told a BELTA correspondent. The funds will be used for the construction of a natural gas boiler house. The launch of the facility will allow the enterprise to fully provide itself with energy resources, as well as reduce consumption costs. The project, significant for the plant, is also important for the social sphere, the head noted. For example, to supply natural gas, about 1 km of gas pipeline will have to be laid, which local residents will also be able to connect to. The construction of the boiler house is the second stage of a large investment project to organize the production of extruded bread products. Its first stage was implemented this year. In particular, the enterprise purchased French equipment with a capacity of 100-140 kg of products per hour. Its cost is 1 million euros. The new line is installed in a reconstructed workshop. Currently, it produces seven types of extruded bread products. However, in the coming days, their number will increase to 11. In 2010, it is planned to increase the range of new products to 32 items, and its monthly production volume to 50 tons per shift. Currently, taking into account the specialists' mastering of new equipment and the fine-tuning of production processes, the output of bread products is 10 tons per month. In January-November, the bakery produced products worth Br11.5 billion, which is 12% higher than last year's level. The profitability of sales is 8.5%. The energy saving indicator for this period is minus 14.5%. The volume of investments in production development this year reached Br4 billion. The main part of these funds is directed to the project for the installation of an extrusion line. The enterprise was founded in 1933. It is a branch of RUPP "VitebskhlebProm". It specializes in the production of bakery products, rusks and bagels, confectionery, as well as sauces and mustard. The range includes about 70 items. It is updated annually by an average of 30%. Products are sold in Belarus, with a small share supplied to Russia. The number of employees is over 240 people. For successful work, the enterprise has been included in the republican and regional Boards of Honor. -0-
