The Polotsk enterprise "KimaBel" operates in three shifts and plans to switch to a 4-shift mode

The head of the region, Nikolai Sherstnev, Chairman of the Polotsk District Executive Committee Igor Markovich, Head of the Administration of the FEZ "Vitebsk" Mikhail Skurat, Chairman, Director of the Executive Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers Vladimir Turavinov, paid an introductory visit to one of the best woodworking enterprises in the republic.

The Most Modern

The main activity of KimaBel LLC, founded in 2013, is the production of lumber. Currently, this enterprise holds leading positions in the industrial sector of Polotsk region. Over the past three years, it has achieved a production volume increase of more than three times, created over 80 jobs, export of goods has tripled, and the volume of investment in fixed assets amounted to about 44 million rubles, of which 40 million rubles were directed to the acquisition of modern equipment that meets world standards.

Within the framework of Decree No. 10 of the President of the Republic of Belarus, KimaBel LLC has been implementing an investment project since 2019 for the reconstruction of the enterprise's production base with the construction of production facilities and engineering infrastructure. In 2020, the most modern sawmill complex in the republic was launched, as well as drying chambers, which allowed mastering the production of a new type of product – lumber with a moisture content of 18% or less, dry boards. The project implementation continues.

More than 250 people work at the enterprise. Since January 1, 2021, they have switched to a 3-shift operation, which has increased the processing volume per day from 1000 cubic meters to 1500 cubic meters. A transition to a 4-shift mode is planned, and consequently, an increase in volumes.

For Export

In the production structure, lumber accounts for 52%, wood chips for 29%, sawdust for 17%, and non-recoverable waste for 2%. The processing depth is 98%, and the share of exports in revenue from the sale of own production is 98%. Based on the results of 2020, export growth amounted to more than 1.4 times. The geography of supplies last year included 8 countries: Belgium, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Estonia. By the way, the share of the enterprise's exports in the total volume of exports of goods from the Polotsk region (excluding republican organizations) is 18%.

Over several years, KimaBel LLC has grown into a strong, promising company, a reliable business partner with a modern production base equipped with the latest wood processing equipment. The director of the enterprise, Vadim Vasenkov, motivates his team to be the best in everything, to continue to build up and modernize production, to implement innovative technologies, and to become a leader in the country's woodworking industry. Thanks to a competent development strategy and tactics, determination, and correct management decisions, as well as the professionalism of the team of workers and specialists, the enterprise has earned recognition not only at the district and regional levels but has also made a name for itself in the republic. Based on the results of work for 2017, it became the winner of the National competition "Entrepreneur of the Year" in the nomination "Stable Success". In 2018, KimaBel LLC was included in the Honor Roll of Organizations of the Polotsk District. And quite recently, the director of the enterprise, Vadim Vasenkov, received congratulations on being awarded the honorary title "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region-2020".

No Limit to Perfection

Nikolai Sherstnev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee:

-The plans of the young, ambitious leader, who believes that there are no limits to perfection, are unique: to create one of the best enterprises in the country. Frankly, I haven't seen a smarter wood processing production yet. Here, a computer truly thinks about how to get the maximum output and profit. In the future, the enterprise plans to increase wood processing volumes to 1 million cubic meters per year and deepen processing to obtain finished products for house construction. If such a project is successfully implemented, it will be a unique production for the Vitebsk region and for the country as a whole.

"This is just the beginning"

Vadim Vasenkov, Director of KimaBel LLC:

-The most important thing is the desire to move forward, to be first. We have carried out modernization and implemented part of our plans, increasing the efficiency of sawing and the stability of the enterprise's operations. And this is just the beginning. Of course, there are difficulties that many are experiencing due to the coronavirus pandemic. This holds us back. But we have preserved jobs and even increased them, and we plan to create additional jobs. We employ highly qualified specialists, and we pay a lot of attention to personnel training. Often, it is not so much the machine that matters, but the people. In the near future, we will have new innovative products. We strive to be first and will try to maintain leading positions.
