Polotsktransneft Druzhba will allocate Br1.8 billion for the reconstruction of the heating networks of the Polotsk oil pumping station in 2011.
January 28, Minsk / Anna Kot - BELTA /. In 2011, Polotsktransneft Druzhba OJSC plans to invest Br1.8 billion of its own funds in the reconstruction of the heating networks of the Polotsk linear production and dispatch station (LPDS), the joint-stock company informed BELTA.
The reconstruction of the station's heating networks has been underway since 2010 as part of the company's energy saving program. Last year, Polotsktransneft Druzhba OJSC invested Br1.6 billion of its own funds in the project.
The first stage of construction, 784 m in double-pipe equivalent, was completed in December 2010, and the construction of the second stage, 887 m in double-pipe equivalent, began in January 2011.
During the reconstruction, morally and physically obsolete pipes and insulation of heat pipelines are being replaced with pre-insulated (PI) pipes. The economic effect of using PI pipes is achieved by reducing heat losses in heat pipelines, lowering operating costs, and eliminating repairs of thermal insulation. In addition, the project solution reduces the length of the heat pipeline.
Polotsktransneft Druzhba Open Joint-Stock Company is a modern, highly automated enterprise of the petrochemical complex of Belarus, part of the Belneftekhim concern. It is the legal successor of the Novopolotsk Republican Unitary Enterprise for Oil Transportation (NRUPTN) Druzhba, which was reorganized into Polotsktransneft Druzhba OJSC at the end of 2010. The main task of the joint-stock company is the transportation of Russian oil from the West Siberian region, Tatarstan, and the Volga region to the Republic of Belarus (Naftan OJSC). The oil pipelines operated by the organization also allow for transit transportation of oil to the Baltic countries. -0-
