Aid for the school year will be paid for each school-aged child from large families - M. Shchetkina
May 31, Minsk /Elena Prus - BELTA/. A one-time assistance of up to 30% of the subsistence minimum budget, effective August 1, will be paid for each school-aged child from large families. This was announced today by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus, Marianna Shchetkina, at an online reception held with the support of BELTA.
The minister noted that within the framework of the National Program for Demographic Security, since 2012, the implementation of such a measure as the payment of one-time financial assistance for the academic year to families raising three or more children studying in general secondary and special education institutions has been envisaged. "One-time assistance in the amount of up to 30% of the SPM will be paid for each school-aged child," emphasized Marianna Shchetkina.
According to her, the implementation of this measure of the National Program for Demographic Security does not require the adoption of a normative legal act at the national level - the payment will be made based on the decisions of local executive and administrative bodies at the expense of local budgets, taking into account available resources. -0-
