Assistant to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich: after personal reception of citizens, there are no unsolvable issues

Direct lines and personal receptions of citizens help to see the situation on the ground, the attitude of the region's residents to the local authorities, and make issues solvable. This was stated by the President's Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich, summarizing the results of the direct telephone line and personal reception held in the Orsha district.

Anatoly Linevich noted that the issues raised by the region's residents can be resolved at the local level. "They need to be studied more deeply with a site visit: to perform additional work or postpone it to a more favorable period, in particular, regarding road surfacing. Direct lines and personal receptions of citizens should be held systematically, as this allows identifying a narrow range of areas that require detailed examination and attention. During such meetings, you hear citizens' assessments of the local authorities' work, even if it is sometimes expressed indirectly. All raised issues become solvable, none remain unresolved. As for the reception in the Orsha district, the problems that concerned people were common – these are housing and communal services and the condition of roads," emphasized Anatoly Linevich.

16 citizens applied to the President's Aide for the telephone line and personal reception, two of them from Novopolotsk, and the rest from the Orsha region. The most common appeals concerned the condition of roads and the work of housing and communal services enterprises on the ground.

A resident of the agro-town of Babinichi is concerned about the high road shoulders that form after grading on the street where he lives. The man asked to raise the road surface level so that during rains, dirt from the shoulders does not flow onto the roadway. Anatoly Linevich instructed to carry out the work in the agro-town when favorable weather sets in.

Road repair is also needed in the village of Budishche. A rural resident who called the President's Aide reported that a new road needs to be laid for only 600 meters. This will allow ambulances, gas services, and the mobile shop to reach the residents of Budishche in any weather. Anatoly Linevich noted that this problem should be resolved as soon as possible, taking into account the weather conditions.

Residents of the Orsha District and Novopolotsk have complaints regarding the housing and communal services sector. Issues with heating, insufficient hot water in old "Khrushchev-era" buildings, increased utility payments, and the absence of major repairs are just some of the problems raised. There were also questions requiring an individual approach and consideration at the district executive committee level. One such appeal concerned a resident of the district center who requested repairs to a barrack built in 1946. Anatoly Linevich instructed that this case be examined more thoroughly. Relevant specialists will inspect the living conditions in the barrack, and if the building is deemed unfit for habitation, eight families will be provided with alternative housing, and the outdated structure will be demolished.

During the direct line, a call was received from a resident of the village of Brazdechno, who inquired about the outcomes of the recent VI All-Belarusian People's Assembly, which she followed with great attention. Specifically, she wanted to know what changes await our country. Anatoly Linevich assured that local Council deputies would hold a meeting with the village residents on this topic, and the applicant would be informed of the location and time additionally.

A resident of Orsha, who called the direct line, raised the issue of repairing a bridge in the village of Telenteevo, where she has a dacha. This issue, as reported immediately after her call by representatives of the district executive committee, is under the control of both the district authorities and the local village council. Active residents of the village and the heads of the enterprise located there will jointly undertake the bridge repair with the onset of the warm period, for which materials have already been allocated.

A resident of Novopolotsk appealed to the President's aide on behalf of her husband. He is accused of beating a woman whom the applicant knows personally. She claims that her husband is innocent and that he underwent a polygraph test in Minsk, which confirmed his words. The alleged victim refused to undergo the same procedure. Anatoly Linevich requested that all case materials be forwarded to the regional executive committee's "One-Stop Shop" service in his name. He will personally handle this matter.

Two women from Orsha, single mothers, cannot find common ground with the management of the enterprise where they work. They came to a personal meeting with the President's aide hoping for help in resolving the conflict. Representatives of the company's administration, including the head, were also present. The discussion did not lead to a complete resolution of the issue, but Anatoly Linevich instructed the specialists of the district executive committee to help find a compromise in this matter.

The resolution of other issues raised by the applicants required the intervention of judicial authorities, the prosecutor's office, and other competent bodies. The President's aide gave instructions on all appeals, and took some under his personal control.
