Assistant to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich met with the work collective of the Display Design Bureau
The meeting with the work collective began with a discussion of the results of the VI All-Belarusian People's Assembly. This topic remains at the center of public attention and discussions, so the specialists of "Display" actively joined the dialogue. This is largely due to the director of the enterprise, Alexander Voitenkov: he participated in this significant event as a delegate, and then spoke in detail about its results and the prospects for the development of the Belarusian state in the near future. At "Display", it is obvious to everyone that there is full support for the line determined by the head of state. The set guidelines are clear, and the decisions for further development are correct. Of course, as those present noted, there are dissatisfied people in society, and there are alternative views on the development of Belarus. But today, everyone has the opportunity to express their opinion, convey constructive ideas to the authorities, and prove the viability of their proposals by action. The current feedback system with the population works effectively, as the employees of "Display" have repeatedly convinced themselves by contacting the direct lines of officials of various levels.
And this time, the plant workers actively asked questions on a wide range of issues. Judging by the nature of the appeals, the issue of youth employment remains a pressing concern. Anatoly Linevich shares the team's concerns, so during a conversation with the enterprise's management, he suggested considering the expansion of "Display's" production activities. The high-tech enterprise operates successfully in a tough competitive environment, and innovative activity helps expand its presence in foreign markets. Therefore, Anatoly Linevich is confident that if "Display" sets such a goal, there will definitely be results. This means new jobs for promising young people who will gladly realize their potential for the benefit of Belarus.
The next most important block of topics concerned the development of urban infrastructure. Many of the hackneyed issues were resolved immediately with the help of the First Deputy Chairman of the City Executive Committee, Valentin Tsvetkov. For example, regarding the former "Brigantina" cinema, sold at auction to a private investor several years ago, the facility is expected to be operational this year for the next "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival. According to Valentin Tsvetkov, its current owner has undertaken such obligations. The prospects for the bath and wellness complex at the intersection of Chkalov and Voini-Internatsionalistov streets are less specific for now. City authorities are exploring options for completing its construction using extra-budgetary funds, up to selling the building with strict obligations for commissioning the complex. The City Executive Committee also counts on private initiative in the landscaping and development of entertainment infrastructure in the Park of the Soviet Army (Mazurino). Anatoly Linevich personally became convinced of the great potential of this urban territory, for the realization of which everyone will have to make efforts together to breathe life into this beautiful corner of nature on the outskirts of the regional center.
Employees of "Display" drew attention to the recently reconstructed underpass at the intersection of Stroiteley Avenue and Petrus Brovka Street. It was recently reconstructed, and a flaw has already appeared: seeping water turns into ice in the frost, and into slush during thaws, thus creating serious problems for pedestrians. Valentin Tsvetkov assured that it will be eliminated by the next winter season, and the responsible organizations have already begun work.
In addition to communicating with employees, Anatoly Linevich familiarized himself with the enterprise's production base, evaluated new production items, and the innovative equipment of the "Display" testing laboratory. Among its latest additions is a high-humidity chamber, commissioned in early 2021. The laboratory moved into a separate building in 2018, after which it was systematically equipped with necessary modern equipment, including unique items for Belarus. This allowed the enterprise to completely abandon the testing services of third-party organizations, consequently, significantly reduce costs – both time and financial, increase mobility, and ultimately enhance efficiency and competitiveness. By the way, based on the results of work in 2020, OJSC "Design Bureau "Display" was recognized as the best scientific and production organization of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus.
