President's Aide Linevich held a 'direct line' in Lepel
During the telephone conversation, eight issues were considered. They concerned, among other things, unpaid wages, improvement of housing conditions for orphans, and establishment of land plot boundaries. Each appeal will be considered individually, and people will receive reasoned responses.
Valentina Borodeiko from the village of Yurkovshchina was concerned about the lack of benefits for services to the population provided by the agricultural unit of the Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant SPF "Zaozerye". The applicant and her husband are elderly people, and discounts on the allocation of a combine harvester and transport for fertilizer delivery would be helpful for them. However, "Zaozerye" provides an 80% discount only to its pensioners, and Valentina Pavlovna is not one of them.
Natalia Trunova from the village of Bolshoy Polsvizh is dissatisfied with the quality of water supply. The utilities seem to have been installed, but due to constant equipment breakdowns, there is no water in the house.
Anatoly Linevich provided clarifications on these issues:
— The Lepel District Executive Committee is aware of the situation in Bolshoy Polsvizh. Its commission took water samples there and found a high iron content. A project is currently being developed, and funds are being allocated to the budget to equip the settlement with a high-quality well. As for discounts on services, the management of the agricultural enterprise has been recommended to consider the possibility of extending them to a broader category of citizens.
Arkady Makhotin, the owner of a cafe in Lepel, raised the issue of the possibility of deferring tax payments and bank loan payments for entrepreneurs under the current circumstances. He stated that the establishment's operating hours have been reduced, no one is celebrating weddings or birthdays, there is no revenue, only losses. According to the President's aide, the situation has already been discussed at a meeting of the regional headquarters for combating the spread of coronavirus and will be further considered at the republican level.
