Cereal crops in private subsidiary farms of the Vitebsk region have been mowed down by almost a third

As of August 12, 9 thousand hectares have been harvested on household plots, which is about 28% of the sown areas of the private sector. A total of 19.3 thousand tons of grain have been threshed on private plots, with an average yield of 21.6 centners per hectare. In the Liozno district, 93.7% of the crops have already been harvested, with a yield of 25 centners per hectare, 1.3 thousand tons have been threshed here. Farms in the Dokshitsy and Dubrovno districts have harvested more than 50% of the private sector areas, with a yield of almost 2.2 thousand tons and more than 870 tons, respectively. The highest yield of 32.4 centners per hectare is currently shown by household plots in the Orsha district, where over 3 thousand tons have been threshed. According to the results of 2009, more than 114 thousand tons of grain were threshed on private farms, with an average yield of 33.9 centners per hectare. In addition, vegetables have been planted on an area of 8.2 thousand hectares in private plots, and 41.7 thousand hectares have been allocated for potatoes.
