After the reception of citizens by the Deputy Prime Minister in Senno, a bus will be purchased for children with disabilities
March 16, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Sennenskoye Center for Correctional and Developmental Education will receive a long-awaited special bus for transporting people with disabilities in 2012. The issue of acquiring the transport was successfully resolved after a citizens' reception held in Senno in February by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Tozik, Deputy Chairperson of the Sennensky District Executive Committee Zoya Fomina told a BELTA correspondent.
Among those who attended the reception was a woman who, together with her husband, is raising a child with a disability. She told the Deputy Prime Minister that due to the lack of specialized motor transport, children with physical disabilities cannot attend the correctional and developmental center, where classes are of great benefit to sick children.
As confirmed by the Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, this problem is relevant for the district. About 50 children with disabilities need correctional and developmental education. Not all parents have the opportunity to bring their children by private transport, and children cannot come by public transport due to their physical condition. The acquisition of a specialized bus requires more than Br100 million, which the local budget does not have. According to Zoya Fomina, this bus can be used not only for transporting children with disabilities but also for adults with disabilities, for whom a day care department has been opened in the district.
Anatoly Tozik took the resolution of this problem under his personal control, and now the District Executive Committee has learned that in 2012, a bus will be purchased for the Sennenskoye Center for Correctional and Developmental Education at the expense of the republican budget.
Nine people attended the reception with the Deputy Prime Minister. Most of them raised everyday issues that were resolved within the framework of current legislation. -0-
