The Czech Embassy handed over 47 medals for the liberation of Czechoslovakia to the Vitebsk region

Посольство Чехии передало на Витебщину 47 медалей за освобождение Чехословакии

More than twenty years have passed since a country with such a name ceased to exist in Central Europe. It is all the more pleasant that the Czech Republic and Slovakia remember that it was the Soviet people who brought them liberation from fascism 70 years ago. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War who took part in fierce battles on its territory were recently presented with commemorative medals in honor of this significant date.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belarus transferred a total of 47 medals to the Vitebsk region. 41 participants of those events live in the regional center, three in Polotsk, two in Orsha, and one veteran lives in Beshenkovichi. The medal in honor of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Czechoslovakia was presented to Ivan Andreevich Kondratyuk on November 25 at the administration of the Pervomaisky district of Vitebsk. Despite his advanced age, the veteran is full of strength and energy.
