The delivery of goods from China to the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant will begin in October

September 29, Minsk / Olga Belyavskaya – BELTA /. Trial cargo deliveries from China by air to the territory of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant, where a modern multimodal transport and logistics center will be created, are planned to begin in October. This was announced to journalists in Minsk by Pavel Bozhanov, Head of the Department of Strategic Development, Coordination and Investment of Transport Systems of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent. According to the representative of the Ministry of Transport, before the start of the construction of the transport and logistics center, the possibility of organizing trial flights of cargo aircraft from China to the territory of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant is being worked out. Such trial flights are planned to be organized in October. At the same time, Pavel Bozhanov noted that there is a cargo reception terminal on the territory of the plant, but for now it does not meet the requirements of a transport and logistics center. "For now, it is a conventional warehouse, but everything is moving towards starting trial deliveries," he said, adding that this issue has been agreed with customs and border guards. "If the flights are successful, the project will be actively implemented," he noted. Pavel Bozhanov reported that Belarus continues negotiations with a major Hong Kong company on its participation in the construction of a transport and logistics project near Orsha. "An enterprise has been established for the implementation of the project, the representative office of which has been opened in Belarus, and the Ministry of Transport has submitted a proposal to the government to grant this company the status of an investment agent," he informed. These documents are currently under review. The Ministry of Transport expects that the company will receive this status, after which the active phase of work will begin. /To be continued/. -0-
