Supplies of food products to the retail network of the Vitebsk region are carried out without interruption

May 20, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo – BELTA /. Food supplies to the retail network of the Vitebsk region are carried out smoothly and in full. This was announced today to a BELTA correspondent by the Deputy Head of the Trade Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexey Shchebletsov. The region is experiencing a surge in demand for food products with long shelf lives. For example, this week alone, sales of salt increased by 70%, pasta and cereals by 50%, sugar by 30%, and flour by 40%. Demand has also increased for non-food items such as refrigerators, LCD TVs, and household appliances. According to Alexey Shchebletsov, the public demand is driven by panic and is not justified. Despite the increase in sales, the region's trade enterprises are taking all measures to meet demand. Wholesale warehouses will operate on weekends, and the delivery schedule for goods has been adjusted. -0-
