Postavsky Dairy Plant Completed Reconstruction of the Whole Milk Products Workshop

September 25, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. JSC "Postavy Dairy Plant" has completed the reconstruction of the whole milk products workshop, the enterprise informed a correspondent. The work was carried out throughout 2008-2009 without stopping production. During this period, a complete reconstruction of the premises and its re-equipment with modern technological lines and auxiliary equipment was carried out. The total investment volume amounted to about Br6 billion. The result of the large-scale reconstruction was an increase in the capacity of the whole milk products workshop by 45% to 17.5 thousand tons per year. It is planned to reach this figure in 2010. In addition, the plant has the opportunity to significantly expand the range of products manufactured. Thus, the enterprise's technologists are already working on increasing the group of fermented milk products, as well as developing low-fat products. In January-August of the current year, the enterprise produced products worth Br28.5 billion, which is 26.9% more compared to the same period last year. During this period, 8.8 thousand tons of whole milk products, 1 thousand tons of butter, 507 tons of cheese, and 567 tons of casein were produced. The share of exports in the total sales volume was 44%. Shipments are made to Russia, Poland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and the USA. The investment volume for eight months in production development reached Br4.8 billion. The energy saving indicator is minus 18.7% with a target of minus 12%. The enterprise was founded in 1963 and reorganized into an open joint-stock company in 1998. Postavy Dairy Plant specializes in the production of cheese, whole milk products, and casein; it also produces ice cream and mayonnaise in small quantities - a total of about 40 product names.
