Postavy RAIPO and Iranian businessmen are considering opportunities for joint activities, Chairman of the District Consumer Society Grigory Levkovets told a BELTA correspondent. Business contacts became possible thanks to intergovernmental agreements, the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Eastern partners are interested in joint activities in the field of agricultural production and processing. According to Grigory Levkovets, three avenues of cooperation are being considered: export of processed vegetable, meat and dairy products, investment in the creation of enterprises in the district, and crediting of existing enterprises. As Grigory Levkovets noted, along with traditional export goods - powdered milk and beef, Iranian businessmen were interested in the possibility of purchasing processed vegetables. Postavy RAIPO is already preparing its proposals for Iranian partners. At the same time, processors intend to take into account the specifics of spicy Eastern cuisine, the interlocutor added. In the near future, specific projects for implementation in Postavy District will be offered to the Iranian side. Postavy RAIPO is one of the leading divisions of Vitebsk Oblpotrebsoyuz. Here, for the first time in the region, a new method of vegetable processing without preservatives using Hungarian technology was mastered. -0-
