The Standing Committee of the Union State is considering the option of using cables manufactured by OOO "PO "Energokomplekt" in the construction of the NPP in Belarus.
This is the first introductory visit of the Deputy Secretary General – Member of the Standing Committee of the Union State, Alexey Kubrin, to the Vitebsk enterprise, but it is extremely important for the economies of Russia and Belarus in terms of developing such an industry as cable product manufacturing.
– We decided to see what the range of manufactured goods is and whether it meets the requirements of modern industry. Ahead is the implementation of a significant joint project – the construction of the Belarusian NPP. And this involves a wide range of energy issues, the use of cable products, which will affect the safety of the station, – noted Alexey Kubrin.
The guests of Vitebsk set themselves the task of studying what can be done independently within the framework of Belarusian-Russian production, and where it is necessary to resort to imported supplies. In addition, the option of investing from the budget of the Union State in the corresponding production based on Energokomplekt is possible, provided that the product is innovative and has an economic effect. In addition, it is worth noting that all six cable factories in Belarusare members of the "Electrocable" Association. Therefore, the issue of how our enterprises operate within the Customs Union and how they feel under the condition of Russia's accession to the WTO is important, emphasized the president of the "Electrocable" Association, General Director of the CIS Cable Industry Head Scientific and Technical Center at the Research Institute of the Cable Industry Gennady Mischenov.
Currently, about 70 percent of the products of OOO "PO "Energokomplekt" are exported, not only to Russia but also to a number of European countries. Of the total volume of cables produced (6.5 thousand items) about 30 percent is the share of innovative production. However, the industry now faces new challenges – non-combustible cables that do not emit dust and gas, halogen-free, which is extremely important for nationwide construction.
– Familiarization of representatives of the Union State with our enterprise will allow us to jointly develop a strategy for the development of the cable industry, – noted the Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLC "PO "Energokomplekt" Sergey Podgaisky.
