Receipts of the gambling tax in the Vitebsk region increased by Br1.3 billion in January-April.

The revenue from the gambling tax in actual prices in January-April of the current year increased by Br1.3 billion compared to the same period last year in the Vitebsk region, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. For January-April 2012, the consolidated budget of the Vitebsk region received Br4.5 billion in gambling tax, which accounted for 0.3% of the total revenue in the region. Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase in gambling tax revenue in actual prices by Br1.3 billion. There are 12 business entities registered in the Vitebsk region engaged in the gambling business, of which 5 are registered with the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate of the Republic of Belarus for the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk, and a total of 10 such entities are registered with inspectorates in the regional center. One more taxpayer of this tax is located in Novopolotsk and Polotsk. As of May 1, 2012, there were 1083 gambling business facilities in the Vitebsk region. -0-
